Terms & Conditions
Representation and Fees
Arron Guevara/Agape Law Oregon, LLC (ALO)(“the attorney”) will provide one legal consultation for up to 60 minutes, by phone or video, for a flat fee of up to $210; the exact amount is based on my income and household size and the rate chart published on the ALO website. The flat fee is payable in advance and at such time becomes the property of ALO. The fee will be deposited into ALO’s operating account and not into an attorney trust account.
Termination and refund
I may terminate the services of the attorney at any time for any reason or no reason. I may be entitled to a refund of all or part of a fee if the services for which the fee was paid are not completed. I am paying, in principal part, for the attorney’s availability at the appointed time. If the attorney is unavailable at the appointed time, I will receive a 100% refund of the fee paid. If I am unavailable at the appointed time and have not given 24 hours notice, I will get a refund of any part of the fee paid that exceeds $25. If I terminate the consultation early, there will be no refund of the fee paid. If someone other than me pays the fee, that person has no right to participate in, influence, or interfere with the attorney’s representation of me, nor may they access any information related to my consultation.
Scope of Representation
Representation begins at the start of the consultation and ends at the conclusion of the consultation unless otherwise agreed in writing. The attorney will not perform any work beyond the consultation—such as preparing or filing documents—unless the attorney expressly agrees to do so in writing. I also understand that the attorney will not represent me in court.
Conflict Waiver
I agree that the attorney’s consultation with me will not, by itself, prevent the attorney from representing or advising other clients whose interests may be now, or in the past, adverse to mine, provided that the attorney will not use or disclose my confidential information to my disadvantage. Additionally, the attorney will not represent another person on a matter that is the same or substantially related to the matter the attorney gave me advice about if the interests of the other person are materially adverse to my interests. This waiver is intended to be as broad as applicable law and the rules of professional conduct allow. I am advised to seek independent legal counsel regarding this waiver; whether I do so is my decision.
Consent
By checking “I agree to the terms and conditions”, I am 1) consenting to use of my electronic signature to record my commitment to the terms herein in lieu of an original signature on paper and with the same force and effect as a handwritten signature, 2) agreeing to the receipt of electronic communications and 3) acknowledging that I have read, understand, and agree to such terms.
